  • The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download, install, purchase, access, use or register with the MyOngaku application (the "App") or the website (the “Website” and together with the App, the “Properties”).


  • Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.


This Policy applies only to information we collect through the Properties, in email, text and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with the Properties.


This Policy DOES NOT apply to information that you provide to, or is collected by, any third party (see Third-Party Information Collection).


These third parties have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them.


Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, use or register with the Properties. By downloading, using or registering with the Properties, you agree to this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Properties after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

Children Under the Age of 13


Our Properties are intended for adults to use; however, children may use the Properties under the supervision of their parents/guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us, when you provide feedback or testimonials about our Properties, and when you report a problem with the Properties.

  • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

When you download, install, access and use the Properties, we may use technology to automatically collect:


Usage Details. We may collect certain details of your access to and use of the Properties, including traffic data, logs, time, location, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Properties.  


Device Information. We may collect information about your device and Internet connection, including hardware information, unique device identifier, IP address, operating system and mobile network information.


If you do not want us to collect this information, do not download, access or use the Properties. You may delete the app from your device, and you may unsubscribe from receiving our email communications at any time by contacting us.


Information Collection and Tracking Technologies


The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include:


Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your computer or mobile device by a website.  We use the following types of cookies on our Website:​


  • Third-party analytical cookies support analysis and understanding of how people use our Website, such as what content people visit and whether they are first-time or returning visitors. This analysis helps us improve the Website. The data collection and reporting behind this analysis is provided by Google Analytics.


  • Third-party cookies for social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, allow users who also use these third-party websites the convenience of easily sharing content with their social networks.

You may also opt-out of Google Analytics tracking services specifically using their Google Opt-Out Browser Add-On. The add-on prevents data from being sent to Google Analytics. Web Beacons. Pages of our Website and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related usage statistics, for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity.


Software Analytics Packages. Software analytics packages are used to provide anonymous information about your mobile device for improvement of our App. The software uses the approved native iOS application program interface (API).

Do Not Track Signals

We do not track customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising, and therefore, we do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

Third-Party Information Collection

We may provide hyperlinks to third-party websites and resources. We have no control over any third-party websites and resources.


You may provide information to be published or displayed ("Posted") on public areas of third-party websites you access through the Properties (collectively, "User Contributions"). Your User Contributions are Posted and transmitted to others at your own risk. Although you may set certain privacy settings for such information by logging into your account profile on these third-party websites, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of third parties with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.


We use third-party analytics services, including Google Analytics and Yahoo's Flurry Analytics, to collect information about the use and performance of our Properties. These service providers use the technologies described above to:


  • Help us analyze how our Properties are used, such as the frequency of use and what content is used.


  • Help us identify problems with the Properties, such as understanding the reason for a performance failure.


The ability to use and to share information collected by Google and Flurry is restricted by their privacy policies (see Google Privacy Policy and Yahoo/Flurry Privacy Policy).   • Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.

Your Choices about our Collection, Use and Disclosure of Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. This section describes mechanisms we provide for you to control certain uses and disclosures of your information.


Tracking Technologies. You have the option to not consent to certain cookies, to disable them, or to be alerted when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of the Properties may then be inaccessible or not function properly.


Promotion by the Company. If you do not want us to use your email address to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can contact us and request to unsubscribe from these communications or click the “unsubscribe” link in our emails.


We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of our Properties that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. You may contact us to make such a request.

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure.


Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Properties. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.

Because we are a global business, your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers. By using our Properties, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules than in your country.
